Introduction

Unfortunately, we currently don’t offer direct integration with Apple iCal and Outlook Calendar. But you can still subscribe from Google Calendar to those other services and sync them that way.

Aside from the workaround provided in this guide, we offer ICS subscription feeds, so you don’t have to use Google Calendar.

Pre-requisites

To start this Outlook or iCal workaround, you’ll need to set up Google Calendar sync with SSA.

Microsoft Outlook Calendar Sync Workaround

This will set up a one-way sync between Google Calendar and Outlook. Your Outlook will periodically check for changes in Google Calendars event list and download updates.

Step-by-step instructions on subscribing to your Outlook Calendar to Google Calendar.

So any new appointments will first go through Google Calendar, and then Outlook can pull those events into its own calendar.

Changes you make in Outlook aren’t sent to Google Calendar, so in turn, you won’t be able to block off time slots in SSA from Outlook. You’ll have to do this from Google Calendar directly.

Apple iCal Sync Workaround

This will set up a two-way sync between Google Calendar and iCal.

The events you make in iCal are transferred to Google Calendar and seen by SSA if you mark them as ‘Busy.’

And the appointments booked in SSA will show up as events in your iCal calendar.

Step-by-step instructions on how to sync your Google Calendar to your Apple Calendar.

Google Invites

Another thing to note is that with our Google Invites feature, you can send calendar events to yourself and the customers.

Google sends a notification automatically adding the .ics file to non-Google calendars, like iCal or Outlook.
