Twilio costs vary depending on the product you're using and depending on what country you're located in. For example, their SMS pricing will include that you pay a monthly fee to use one of their phone numbers plus a pay-as-you-go fee for each message that you send.

For Simply Schedule Appointments users in the USA, the pricing will generally be $1.00/month to use a local number plus $0.0079/message. If you end us sending 1000 messages, this will cost you $7.90 USD.

To set up SMS appointment reminders with Twilio: 

1. Install and Activate a Twilio appointment booking integration like Simply Schedule Appointments for your WordPress site.
2. Create your first booking calendar using the setup wizard.
3. Set up the Twilio Appointments integration via the Twilio plugin settings.
4. Create a new SMS notification in the booking plugin and tie it to the Appointment Types.
5. Lastly, add your new Twilio booking calendar to any page on your website using the [ssa_booking] shortcode.
6. Now you're well on your way to automating Twilio appointment notifications.
