AMP Conflict — Loading Issues on Mobile

Introduction

In this guide, we discuss how the Mobile View provided by the AMP plugin may affect functionality in Simply Schedule Appointments.

AMP Conflict

AMP is handy for making some pages load faster if they have static content on them, like text articles. However, if the pages are dynamic, using Javascript, AMP will prevent them from working correctly. And since our SSA plugin is dynamic and uses Javascript, it would be better to keep AMP off.

How to Solve

Luckily, there’s a quick fix; you have the option to completely disable it from your whole site or just do so for a single page. 

  • For the whole site: Head to the WP Dashboard > AMP > Where do you need AMP and unselect Pages from the list.
  • For a single page: Head to the page, press edit, then on the right sidebar, select “Hide” for the “Show AMP for the current page”. Here’s AMP’s guide.
