Hello everyone, welcome to our August newsletter for Simply Schedule Appointments. This is where we gather all the information about our newest updates and other plugin-related news into one short and sweet summary each month. We hope you enjoy it!
Simply Schedule Appointments News for August
Bancontact and Alipay for Stripe
This month we’ve added two new payment methods to our Stripe integration, including Bancontact and AliPay. Previously we only supported iDeal along with the default Credit Card options.
With the exception of the Credit Card option, each of the payment methods has a few requirements before you can readily use them in your booking forms. Along with also enabling and completing any additional set up in your Stripe account.
SSA will display each payment option if:
- iDeal: The Euro currency is enabled and the Webhook Signing Secret field set up.
- Bancontact: The Euro currency is enabled and the Webhook Signing Secret field set up.
- Alipay: The Chinese Yuan or USD currency is enabled.
Hide Payment Methods for Stripe
We’ve also added the option to hide or disable each specific payment method. This is in case you meet some of the payment method requirements above but you don’t necessarily want to accept payments through that method.

WordCamp US Sept 17 – 20
We’re super excited for the upcoming WordCamp US Oregon 2024, and we can’t wait to meet everyone and have a great time learning about WordPress together. Our co-founder Nathan Tyler will be attending, feel free to send him a message if you’re attending WCUS this year!
