Why We Support WordPress Accessibility Day
At its core, WordPress Accessibility Day aligns perfectly with the values of both Simply Schedule Appointments and AAArdvark. The event showcases the importance of accessibility in web design and development, helping to educate and empower developers, designers, and website owners around the world.
By sponsoring this event, SSA and AAArdvark are not only supporting WordPress and its community, but also reinforcing our commitment to building a more inclusive web. We’re proud to be part of this movement and can’t wait to see the incredible talks, workshops, and panels lined up for WordPress Accessibility Day.

We believe that accessibility is not just a feature—it’s a necessity. AAArdvark is designed to help accessibility specialists easily identify and fix web accessibility issues, ensuring their websites meet WCAG standards and are user-friendly for everyone, regardless of ability.
Simply Schedule Appointments: Micro Sponsor
Simply Schedule Appointments (SSA) is equally excited to participate as a Micro Sponsor! SSA is a WordPress booking plugin built with accessibility at the forefront. Natalie MacLees: Accessibility Challenges with Single Page Applications
And, don’t miss out on our co-founder, Natalie MacLees, participating and speaking for WordPress Accessibility Day. She’ll be covering the topic of, “Accessibility Challenges with Single Page Applications” on October 9th at 19:00 UTC or 1 PM PDT.
Using the WordPress API to drive a Single Page Application (SPA) can present major accessibility challenges, especially with dynamic content and focus management. However, with thoughtful planning, best practices, and proper testing, it’s possible to build SPAs that are accessible for all users.
