There are two ways to add Google Calendar to your WordPress site. One way involves using the Simple Calendar plugin to display your Google Calendar on your page. The second way is to use the Simply Schedule Appointments plugin to allow your users to book times right into your Google Calendar while still respecting your work hours and schedule.
To Sync Google Calendar with WordPress:
- Install and Activate a Premium Edition of the Simply Schedule Appointments plugin
- Configure your first booking calendar using the Setup Wizard
- Toggle on the Google Calendar feature within the SSA plugin settings
- Configure your Google API app, by following along to our step-by-step guide or Youtube video
- After setting up the Google Calendar integration, finish setting up by enabling Google Calendar Sync in your Appointment Type Settings
- Lastly, embed your booking calendar onto your WordPress site and start booking appointments right into Google Calendar!
Allow clients to schedule a Google Meet in advance using a scheduling plugin like Simply Schedule Appointments that provides a Google Calendar Integration.
- After configuring your Google Calendar integration, head over to Settings > Google.
- Toggle on Google Meet.
- Go to your Appointment Type settings and open the Web Meetings tab.
- Toggle the Google Meet option and save your settings.
Google Meet links are now automatically generated for each appointment scheduled on your site and immediately placed within the Google Events for all attendees to see.

- After configuring your Google Calendar integration, head over to your Appointment Type Settings.
